Well, it’s Wednesday again, which means I’m linking with The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday, which is one of my favorite ‘go to’ sites for great ideas.
Even though on Saturday I showed this ‘before’ look on the right- in case you missed it, I’m showing it again. There is nothing wrong with this casual look, but I want to show how simple it is to dress up jeans and a jacket.
For running errands, volunteering at school or for lunch with friends- skinny jeans and a polished blazer with cute shoes are a great and EASY look!
I’ve got on my dark skinny jeans (I’ve noticed I wear these a lot, maybe time to invest in a new pair?), a cream tank, black blazer and Burberry inspired scarf.
My dilemma is what shoes to wear?
I’m showing 3 different looks- please comment and let me know your favorite!

Please – whatever you do don’t wear the heals!
Yeah, they aren’t my favorite either! 🙂
I am much more comfy in flats!
I think I like the leopard best. Cute outfit! I think I’m going to be on the lookout for a scarf like that and then copy your look in the near future.
Thanks so much! I love hearing comments!
I forgot to mention that I bought this scarf at DSW! I bought it in the last month, so hopefully you can find it!
I’m a huge fan of mixing patterns! The leopard flats and plaid scarf look great together!
One more vote for the leopard flats – love them!
#1 heels! #2 leopard print flasts are so cute!
Hehehe, I LOVE how you take typical “mom” looks and offer a different–and much better looking–approach. I think all 3 of these shoes work, depending on what look you’re going for. My personal favorite are the leopard print shoes. They add some pizazz and really define the outfit!
I like the very last shoes best ~
Love that there is another 40 y.o. blogger out there doing fashion posts! xo
Leopard print flats for sure! Goes really well with the scarf…
def. the leopard flats!!! they’re so fun!!
I like the black flats. Classic. Leopard are cute too.
