This is one of those Saturdays where it’s all about sports!
My son has 2 basketball games AND lacrosse practice, so my outfit needs to be warm, comfy and casual.
I’ve opted for my ‘boyfriend’ jeans and a striped pink t shirt layered over a white shirt. Then to follow my rule of 3- I’ve added a vest. And, dare I say it- my UGGS!
Yikes! I’ll admit they are super ugly- but they are also super comfy, and warm, and good for when I’m going to be on my feet all day.
It’s not super stylish, but it’s at least an improvement over the outfit on the right.
The only reason I even own a long sleeved collared shirt is because I used to play golf.
However, in ‘Everyday Life’, a collared shirt is usually worn by those who wear it as a work uniform. So, unless you have a job that requires you to wear a collared shirt, or you are playing golf- take my advice and try a plain t shirt instead.

Cute – love the pick striped top! Have a warm and wonderful day 🙂
I agree. Uggs are not the stylish but they are super comfy. I have 2 pairs and I love wearing them, especially here (eastern Ontario, Canada winters are cold!!)
I love a striped tee in any color but pink stripes make me particularly happy! Cute!!!
Now…. I don’t own a pair of UGGs myself, but my 16 year old daughter has a few pairs and I will admit I have borrowed them in the past. But NO MORE!! They are hideous and for the same price you can get a pair of really cute duck boots-like thesehttp://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod135730007&ecid=NMALRJ84DHJLQkR4&CS_003=5630585
or cute ones like these http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=duck+boots&category=0%7CAll%7Cmatchallany%7Call+categories
UGG also makes them but for about $350!!!
They are just as warm and comfy as any pair of Uglies!!! 🙂
You are absolutely right- and thanks for the links! The Tory Burch pair are absolutely gorgeous- sadly they only have 1 size left (and it’s not mine). Thanks for the great ideas though… maybe I need to replace my Uggs!
I appreciate the comment.
VERY cute. and its REALLY hard to look cute at those sporting event days – especially when you need to keep warm! By the end of soccer season in the fall, I look like an eskimo on the sidelines 🙂
darling! I love the vest! i confess that i wear my fake uggs to kids sporting events – at least the ones that are outside. those fields get MUDDY! But this winter, I found sheepskin rainboot liners!! So they make my rainboots as warm as my Uggs! SCORE!
Girlymama-yes!yes!yes I forgot about rainboot liners!! They work perfectly and are super comfy!! Also they come in so many different styles that you can change them up with different outfits!!
