Oct 1st, Month in Review

One of my favorite things to post at the end of each month is a review of everything I wore. To me, it’s fun to look back and remember what I did- and I think it’s fun for the reader to get to see a bunch of outfit ideas all at once.

So, without further ado- here is what I wore last month! Is there one that is your favorite? Is there one that I should NEVER wear again?! (be nice :))

Please comment- you have no idea how much it pleases me to hear from you all!

    1. Thanks! If it’s the picture I think you’re talking about- (the blue cable knit sweater)? it is actually from Old Navy, not J Crew… even better! 🙂

  1. They are all great but I love #1, 4, 5 and 10 best! Where is the cute white jacket from in #5? Also I really, really need to get myself a pair of white capris! Oh and the trench and boots are supercute!

  2. I once was lost but now fashionable! I just had my third an was looking like a hot mess. I love how effortless all your looks are! Plus I already have similar pieces my closet but didn’t know how on earth to put it all together! Thank you so much! Thank you for getting me out of a postpartum stretchy pant rut!

    1. You’re hilarious!! So glad I could get you out of the postpartum stretchy pant as well… it took me several years (my kids are now 9 & 11). Thanks for writing!

      1. Seriously I keep getting compliments from my friends and family “wow you look great” , “wow you really brought it today”, “Is that new? Where did you get it” How silly they feel when I tell them it’s 5yrs old AND it’s from Good Will 5yrs ago, but with all your daily tips I’ve saved time and money rethinking what was already in my closets! As Ophrah Winfrey would say you’ve given me an “ah-ha moment” Can’t wait for winter inspiration!

      2. Yeah!! I love hearing that! How cool that your friends and family are noticing that you are putting some effort into your look! Well done!

  3. So in the same boat as above! Revamped my closet much to my bank accounts dismay, but feeling soooo much better about myself! You inspired this! This am, a man I didn’t know stopped in front of my car, smiled and yelled at me “you don’t know me, but I love you!” Knowing he might have been a bit looney, I’m forgetting that and chalking it up to me looking FAB! Thanks so much for the everyday ideas! Can’t wait for winter dressing ideas!

  4. I have a lot of black/white clothing and usually stick to the basics. Now I am getting wonderful inspirations from reading your blog. The before/after pictures are very helpful. I began to mix/match colors/styles and use more accessories – belt, for example. I can’t believe the different a belt can make! I also bought a nice blue v-neck pull-over sweater from Nordstrom Rack the other day. The idea came from this outfit: http://everydaymomstyle.com/2012/10/01/oct-1st-month-in-review-everyday-mom-style/#jp-carousel-5496 Thank you, Megan.

  5. Thank you Megan for all your ideas. I enjoyed all the Sept outfits, and am inspired to buy a striped shirt and Naot sandles 🙂 I live in Edmonton (Alberta) and I know it’s popular to wear flats with bare feet. BUT… we have about 3 or 4 months here to wear this look comfortably without frozen or wet feet. hmmm

    1. Hi Kathryn, thanks for your note! Check out today’s outfit (Oct 3rd). I’m wearing booties that can be worn with socks- they are super comfy and no frozen feet… click on the word DSW and it will take you to the link!
