Dec 30th, 30 for 30- Day 30!!!

I’ve saved the best for last… not really, but this is definitely one of my favorites and it’s my ‘go to’ outfit. It’s classic, simple and very easy.

I wear this when I’m volunteering at school, or out shopping, or to casual day at work, out to dinner with friends… it’s always appropriate and stylish.

I’ve simply paired my dark jeans with a white tank, my black blazer and black flats. For interest and personality, I’ve added a necklace and a stack of bracelets.

I happen to like it plain, but changing the color (or adding pattern) to the tank is another great way to add style.

Nothing too exciting, definitely not cutting edge- but it’s me!

Be willing to invest a bit in your black blazer- this staple will be in style for years...

I’ve linked to Fashion Friday– check it out for some great ideas!

Sept 1st, Back to School

The dress alone is a little plain.
Added a shirt, booties and bracelets

Today is our ‘Meet the Teacher’ day at school- yes, on the west coast we still haven’t started school yet!

In honor of the occasion I decided to wear a dress, (actually I think it might be a nightgown. I got it at Anthropologie.) I styled it up a bit by adding a cute plaid button down shirt tied at the waist. I also added my new desert booties and piled on the bracelets- voila~arm party!

I think this outfit is a bit crazy- there is a lot going on between the ruffles on the dress, the plaid pattern and the bracelets- yet somehow I think it works. What do you think?

I’m Always Up for a Party!

I’m entering into a contest* this week sponsored by the fabulous Kristina at Pretty Shiny Sparkly . The contest is titled Arm Party- and the assignment is to stack as many bracelets as possible on. I guess this is the new trend~I’m learning as I go!!

So crack open the champagne, here is my Arm Party! I’m wearing a combo of bracelets, the one with 3 chains is Silpada; the black, white and silver are all from Kohl’s and the small braided one is David Yurman.

Let me know what you think! Is this something you you’ll try?

* Leave it to me- I was late for the party… the contest ended August 3rd. Oh well, I had fun trying! I’d still love your comments and feedback.
