Here is another old photo I found- I looked back through old posts and couldn’t find it, so I wonder if I took the picture and never used it?
I bought these white cropped skinny jeans at J Crew a while ago. Lots of people are afraid to wear white after Labor Day- but personally, I love it! From everything I have read, that is an old, outdated rule that you do not have to follow!
White jeans are easy to wear because they go with anything- but I really love pairing them with neutrals.
In this picture I chose a brown tank and this cute cropped trench coat. To tie it all together I wore a Tiger’s eye necklace (from Forever 21- great place for cheap trendy jewelry) and my favorite leopard belt (from Target).
Sorry for the late post- I was having some technical difficulties this morning!
And, truth be told- I played in a tennis match this afternoon (I lost), so I am just now getting dressed for the day.
I’m wearing my cream cords and a gray sweater. To add a little interest- and to tie the pants and sweater together, I added this cute scarf. It is not an infinity scarf- but I safety pinned the ends together to make it into one. I then looped the whole thing around my head 3 times. So easy!
I really really love these pants. Because they are cords, they are soft, warm and ultra comfy. Just my style!
I also love them because I love the color- a lot of people shy away from wearing white (or off white) after Labor Day.
This is an old & outdated rule. These creamy white pants are perfectly appropriate for the season.
Today I’ve paired them with this pretty blue sweater with dolman sleeves, and then I accented with this brown and blue checked infinity scarf. An infinity scarf is a great solution if you’re unsure of how to tie a regular scarf. You can’t screw this kind up. Just put it on and loop it around as many times as you want. Voila! Super easy!
As for my shoes- I decided to go with my brown boots. At first I thought about flats- but decided it didn’t look wintery enough (plus, my feet were cold!).
Due to the buttons down the back, the last time I wore this sweater I had a few people comment (probably jokingly) “I think you’re wearing your sweater backwards”.
I can assure you, it is not on backwards! I swear!
I fell in love with this sweater the moment I saw it- I love the camel color, the 3/4 sleeves, the cropped cut and the way it just looks like Fall. For some odd reason, it reminds me of Love Story- although Ali McGraw probably wore nothing like it.
Anyhow- today I am pairing this sweater with my off white pants. I decided to keep this look very simple- very understated.
By keeping each piece of this outfit in the same color family, it looks classy and expensive (which it isn’t!).
To add a bit of my personality, I’ve chosen my leopard heels, an animal print bracelet and this cute necklace from Forever 21.
I know, I know, I spelled seriously wrong. I did it on purpose because I am so excited about my new blazer from Sears. Yes, you heard me right, Sears! Who knew? I have been looking for a cute blue blazer to complete my wardrobe when I stumbled across this gem at Sears. It is Land’s End brand- so I know the quality it excellent- and the price was the best part. Originally $189, I snapped this baby up for $50. It was on super clearance. Now hurry- go to Sears and get your own! Keep in mind, it runs small.
I love the style book- The Lucky Guide to Mastering any Style. In this book they talk about different style inspirations and help you determine which one best suits you. I am American Classic. I love everything about that look- and this outfit is a perfect example of that. Crisp white pants, a chambray blue button down, blue blazer and a strand of pearls. Can’t get much more classic that that- can you?
What style are you? Check out the book to see!
