Jan 16th, Puffy Vest

DSCN6431DSCN1956I’m working from home again today (actually working from my bed- I’m still having my back issues) so I’m dressed in ultra casual, ultra comfy clothes.

I’ve opted for my black leggings, a grey sweater and this cute patterned puffy vest (although truth be told, while I’m in my bed I don’t have the vest or boots on! :))

It’s a much cuter outfit than the plain one* on the right, don’t you think?

Jan 11th, Inspired by Pinterest

If you haven’t already discovered Pinterest, let me warn you that it is a total time suck! Plan on spending hours looking at all the amazing and creative ideas people post. You can find outfit ideas, decorating ideas, party ideas, recipes, parenting tips… basically it’s a gathering place for people to share (or discover) ANYTHING you want!

I tend to go on it when I look at my closet and think ‘I have nothing to wear’. I’m always able to find inspiration- and usually have items in my wardrobe that are close enough to copy an outfit that I like.

Hence- today’s outfit.

Below is my inspiration photo plucked from Pinterest:

Now, I don’t have the exact same sweater (wish I did though, this is cute) so I decided a turtleneck in a similar color would work. Below is my version:

Nov 2nd, Denim and Black

I like this casual- perfect for running errands or attending weekend sporting events- type outfit.

I’m wearing my black skinny pants (these are not leggings- these are actually pants) worn layered over a black tank, then a denim shirt, then a black puffy vest.

It’s warm, comfy, and sort of stylish!

On the right, I’m showing a before picture of how not to wear denim! While I love the denim on denim look- this is too much!

This is such an easy outfit!

Pants: Gap (old), Tank: Gap, Denim Shirt: J Crew, Boots: Nordstrom, Vest: Nordstrom Rack

Oct 15th, Head to Toe in Target

Well, I’ve done it again- I’ve dressed head to toe in Target! I started my outfit with this cute denim shirtdress I bought at Target over the summer.

Then I decided to add a puffy vest (these are very in right now- plus they add warmth- plus the bright red adds a nice contrast color to my outfit).

I then decided to switch out the denim belt that came with the dress for this cute multicolored skinny one, lastly I opted for my light brown boots!

Before I knew it, I realized that each item I selected was from Target… how about that?

A close up of the belt.
Originally I wanted to wear these booties with this outfit- but realistically, I can’t imagine being in heels all day today (I’ll be on my feet most of the day!).
Perfect for work, running errands, going to lunch… whatever your day has in store for you!
